Brain Farm has just launched their first Kickstarter project.
Strong to the Finish will be an inspiring feature documentary on one man’s 1,500 mile run across Mongolia to raise money and awareness for the country’s thousands of young orphans. The sheer number of orphaned kids in Mongolia has created a need larger than what local resources can handle. The film will follow the triumphs and heartbreaks of 40-year-old Brian Hunter as he attempts this heroic test of physical and emotional endurance for the children of Mongolia. A character-driven film, Strong to the Finish juxtaposes Brian’s idealistic family life, both at home and as they join him on the expedition, against the harsh reality of life on the streets in Mongolia. What happens during this ten-week expedition across Mongolia will be nothing short of life changing for Brian, his family, the street orphans, and everyone else touched by his inspiring journey.
Already weeks into the expedition, Brian Hunter has embarked on a journey of a lifetime. Brian works to run 1,500 miles across Mongolia. That is equivalent of running a little over 60 marathons in 60 days.
Wearing a live tracking GPS, supporters are able to follow Brain and the team’s progress across the Mongolia. These status updates give a peak at the relentless toll Brian’s body is taking from the elements; sleeping in a tent, weeks without a shower, to hypothermia and dehydration. The story is manifold.
He is running this very minute alongside a camera crew and his wife and two children in a support vehicle. We need your help to spread the word and make this documentary film a reality!
